Beach blooms....in the evening they begin to close for the night.

Our new bird friends are having dinner.....

Nothing fancy....just a small beach house in Gulf Shores, AL. What we love about this place is the screened in porch. A nice area to eat and work...no bugs....and plenty of shade. I brought one of my vintage damask tablecloths, candles silver trays and twinkle lights. Now we feel a bit more uptown!

Barb and I have been working like crazy....having fun too.....but we have lots of work to do. We rarely have uninterupted time together to plan and brainstorm. We have been working on our plans for the next 6 months. Getting the "to do" list done. We drew out a large calender on freezer paper and taped it to the wall. Everytime we walk by we add deadlines and ideas to the page. I told Barb, "We need to back away from the calender." It was almost frightening.

Barb has been working on her final quilt for our next book. She's been gluing the pieces in place and getting it ready to applique. We think we can finish it before we leave. (Always optimistic!)
Now that we have the picture posting thing worked out ....be on the lookout for tomorrow. Will post more.
until later!
Alma

  13. Photo Op: A quilt draped over the post by the fence in the sand-- You gotta do it!!! I've a real fan of your Beach house fabric line. Watching pricing. When they come down a little I'm going to make a quilt out of the fat quarters. Thanks for sharing your lives with us "ordinary" folks.
