Morning Alma! I would love to have my name included in the basket. I think you have a 'keeper'. Have a happy holiday weekend!

Very sorry we didn't have more of these. Maybe I can get the Dave guy back working soon.

Our last 3 teaching engagements for the year are:

The first is Shepherd's Bush in September. You can check their web-site for details. I think there is a waiting list for this event.

The next is Country Sampler in Spring Green, Wisconsin. It will soon be Boxwood and Berry time! They will have 2 events, back to back to accommodate everyone. Check their web-site for details. We will be teaching at both events. We will have a wonderful quilt and cross stitch project.

Our last event for the year will be in Spring, TX. We will teach at 3 Stitches October 26, 2010. Our class is Tuesday evening and then we will continue our travel to Houston for quilt market.

We will not be teaching next year. There are a couple of things I'm going to devote the summer to....they are on my "bucket" list and I want to do them before I can't.

Hope you are having a great Labor Day. Thank you everyone for participating in the contest!

Until later dear friends,

Alma

  4. Congrats to Vickie!

Alma, I have a question for you. I finished stitching Moonlit Gardens and wanted some info about the frame that showcases your stitched piece that is on the leaflet. I no longer have mine. Where did the frame come from and was that a mat or was it and inlay that is part of the frame. Thanks for your help with this!

  5. Alma,

I'm a loser! Maybe better luck next time, but could you explain how you arrived at the wonderful primitive black finish that you arrived at on the acorn holder? And also, what kind of wax (name & brand) that you finished with). I have a great little shelf that would look wonderful with that black paint job. Thank you very much for your help. I absolutely love your blog.

  6. Hi alma, Just when I thought I would take a class next year I find out you're taking a break but a well deserved one! I, too, am wondering how you did the black finish on the box and I can help Laura out by telling her the frame for Moonlit Garden was by Hog River since I have it here but not sure what she meant by the inlay. 9. Love the emery box, Alma. You find the neatest things!!! You've got to convince Dave to make of these. If doesn't want to make 5,000, perhaps he would make a couple for me (ha)!

It is a very cool find and I would my right arm to have one.

  10. Well, I was so excited that I didn't even proof-read my comment. Pardon me and if you don't understand what I was trying to say - here it is again. Very cool piece - I'd like one.

  11. Nancy in WI: Thanks so much for that information! Unfortunate for me, the company is no longer in business. :( So I guess I just need to pick something from my local place. Loved the frame on the leaflet!

  14. I'm not sure if anyone will see this but this message is for Laura who was interested in the frame for Loose Feathers "Moonlit Garden". It is a Hog River frame and I was just at www.sgcountrysampler.com and they have 1 frame left for this. Their phone number is 608-588-2510 if interested. Nancy in WI
